HELP REQUIRED
HELP KOLKATA SLUM DWELLERS AFFECTED BY COVID-19
Social Distancing is a privilege that does not exist in slums of East Kolkata. The suburbs in the neighborhoods of East Kolkata, which houses one of the largest slums in the city of Kolkata is a melting pot with great ethnic diversity with majority of them indulged in daily wage work. KETTO is a crowd funding platform which is working with ALLIANCE for PROGRESSIVE INDIANS to raise funds for slum dwellers, waste pickers and daily wage workers in East Kolkata. We need funds for grassroots activities, where tiny funds result in life-changing decisions. We need to raise Rs. 30, 00,000 to support thousands of families in East Kolkata slums over the next few critical weeks of lockdown.

SUPPORT THE INDIAN DAILY WAGERS
At least 225 million daily wage workers face a devastating and inconceivable situation as the lockdown pushes their only means subsistence. India students from Imperial College London and IIT/NIT alumni would like to raise a courteous call to everyone in the global community to come forward and help supporting the financially vulnerable workforce amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We aim to raise around INR 22 lakhs to support more than 1000 families.
