The NGO is tirelessly distributing Emergency Ration to the needy in Lucknow. It costs INR. 650 to support a family with food for a week. Their kit includes 3kg rice, 5kg wheat along with pulses, tea powder, salt and sugar. They are in need of funds to keep this functioning smoothly.

Flo Locknow
The FICCI Ladies Organisation has tied up with Samwad Samajik Sansthan and Red Brigade, reputed NGOs for providing necessities such as food and items of hygiene to the families of the most economically backward sections of the society. The kit costs INR. 170 and includes 5 kg rice, 5 kg flour along with pulses, basic spices, soap bars and potato. This is supposed to last a family of five for a week.

Food 24X7 Helping Hands (Informal)
This is group which isn’t registered yet but has helped several families and daily wage workers in this quarantine. It is a group of four people providing raw supplies to the needy. It has served more than 200 families till now and looking to help more through funds. They are looking forward to doing the same once the pandemic is over. They accept help in cash and kind. They are currently in collaboration with Kishore Welfare Trust to provide food to the stray animals as well.

Group of four brother (Informal)
Group of these social workers Farhat Ali Khan, Yusuf Ahmad Siddique, Raza Haider, Abdul Qadir Shaikh and their team are collecting funds in this time of lockdown to provide the daily wage workers who are left with no job, a package of essential food items. They have served more than 700 families and now are ambitious about feeding atleast 10,000 families. The package contains a meal of four for 4 to 5 days.
One package contains: Wheat, Rice, Pulses, Vegetables, Cooking oil, Salt and Spices.
They've also hired four daily waged workers to package everything, who are paid for their work on daily basis.
They are serving in every part of the city and they plan on continuing this social work after this Lockdown ends.

Insaniyat Welfare Society
This Non-Governmental Organisation is based in Lucknow and works primarily for blood donations and assisting the poor. They are currently feeding around 700 needy per day in Lucknow.

Seeds is an NGO providing relief to 1,000 families living in the slums of Lucknow. They are looking to raise funds to provide essential food items (each package costing INR 890) like flour, rice, oil, pulses, potato, salt, sugar, spices and soap bars. One package is expected to last a week, the soap more than that. They’ve currently raised more than INR. 4,56,000 and have fed many families.

Raina's Kitchen
Raina Pandey of Lucknow has turned her passion into a profession in the form of Raina’s Kitchen. This place boasts good reputation and delicious food. Now, in times of need they have also joined hands to help the needy. They are looking for donations to help with the cost of making the food. Raina is herself feeding a lot of people. Feeding around 800 people a day, it aims to prepare around 3,500 porous and 50 kgs vegetable pulao.

The food delivery app in Lucknow now delivers groceries to your doorstep. This is helping the consumers groceries in this time of heavy lockdown, but also ensures that the employees continue working and get wages. On top of this, it has a donation page which you can access through the app, with the title Hope, Not Hunger which has currently raised more than INR. 5,48,00,000 and served more than 18,00,000 meals to people including the homeless, daily wage workers and stranded migrant labourers. Zomato- Feed the Daily Wager
This is a campaign started by Zomato Feeding India, which is a not-for-profit managed by Zomato. Their ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ project will provide One Ration Kit to close to 250,000 families across 26 cities across India. Each kit contains a combination of food grains and pulses – wheat flour, rice, and pulses for a family of 5. Each kit costs INR. 500. Their raw grains are procured by their supply partner Grofers and Big Bazaar amongst others. This is a 100% Not-For-Profit campaign and the use of proceeds will be disclosed in a financial transparency report sent to all contributors of the campaign.

Non-Governmental Organisations
OXFAM
Oxfam India needs funds to work with the government and raise the issue immediate economic assistance to the workers of the informal sector. Oxfam India ran a mobile van campaign in Lucknow to raise awareness about the pandemic. They have been able to reach out to 3.3million people through vans. Over 6,000 households have been supported with dry food in Maharashtra (Solapur), UP (Lucknow), Bihar and other states. Nearly 22,000 packets of ready to eat cooked meals have been distributed among migrant workers, construction workers and the homeless in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, etc.

Pranyas Development Foundation- Fight Against Coronavirus
This NGO seeks to create awareness about the novel coronavirus in slums and villages by going door-to-door and providing masks to families, all while following the basic rules of hygiene and social distancing. This is a good initiative to bust all the myths surrounding the virus and provide accurate information. They are providing raw or cooked food to daily wage earners. Along with this they are distributing hard copies of guidelines by the WHO and the government and distributing helpline no. given by government and need to use it if any symptoms mentioned above are visible. They are also distributing Safety kit (mask and soap). They’ve currently distributed around 4000 meals and are planning to distribute food to around 500 labourers.

Uttishta Foundation
This NGO is usually involved in the field of education through dissemination of scholarships to the students of primary and junior school of the government schools. Every year they distribute approximately over 100 blankets in the month of January to the needy and poor.To bring harmony between the villagers we organize Bhagwat Katha and also distribute food to more than 1000 people. They are trying to procure testing kits for Covid – 19 and utilise them in rural areas along with providing meals to the migrated workers.
